Stay healthy during monsoon…..

Monsoon is one of those times you can’t wait to get out and you don’t want to get out. Monsoon causes certain health concerns. Incidence of water borne diseases like dysentery, cholera and gastrointestinal infections is high during this season. Hence it is necessary to take precaution during this season. Avoid raw or uncooked food especially green leafy vegetables because they play host to many larvae, dust and worms and can cause infections. Avoid left over food. Drink only boiled or filtered water. Garlic, pepper, ginger, asafoetida (hing), jeera powder, turmeric and coriander help enhance digestion and improve immunity in rainy season.
